Key Challenges
Achieving business agility is the cornerstone of growth for today’s dynamic digital enterprises. However, our client was dealing with inflexible applications and inefficient processes that inhibited efficiency, deliverability of services, and eventually, the prospects of future growth.
Lack of a centralized integration system led to substantial efficiency distress. Disparate systems were bogging down the competence of the entire IT architecture, resulting in redundancy, delays, and inflated costs. There was no real-time data synchronization between applications either, which led to major problems in managing both business and IT operations.
Absence of an integrated solution, which could have been helpful in binding and streamlining the different systems, made IT topology a complex maze to navigate. The existence of too many point-to-point touchpoints interrupted the pace of IT workstreams and impacted business agility.
Our client is America’s largest manager of non-emergency medical transportation programs for state governments and managed care organizations. They have a sizeable customer base with over 24 million active members, and have successfully managed more than 65 million rides in over 43 states.
We assessed every aspect of our client’s IT environment to track down the problem areas and recommended an integration solution based on Software AG’s product suite. We selected the following components—webMethods Integration Server, Universal Messaging, Broker, CentraSite and security —as a part of our integration solution to help the client achieve a synergistic effect. Our implementation of webMethods-based integration solution unlocked agility, improved operational efficiencies, and streamlined growth.
The centralized Integration Service Bus was developed to streamline the client’s highly heterogeneous IT ecosystem and help them facilitate consistent throughput. This hub enabled the integration and standardization of business processes across all business partners, as well as internal department systems.
Our team revisited the old bugbears in the integration practices and rewired them by creating reusable services and components, besides providing continuous monitoring of planned vs. actual timelines, to control cost. Our developers used the standard interfaces of the webMethods ESB to build and deploy user-friendly, intuitive interfaces for the clients more quickly and easily than ever before.
